About Jennie Friedman
Empowering You to Embrace Your Authentic Self
My Journey and Approach
Hey there! I'm Jennie Friedman, a neurodivergent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I'm also a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP) and am working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).
My journey has taught me that being 'different' isn't a bad thing. It's this understanding that fuels my passion for helping courageous individuals like you who may appear to have everything together on the outside but struggle internally with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt.
I specialize in supporting those battling eating disorders, anxiety, learning disorders, and life transitions. I understand the exhaustion of constantly trying to meet impossible standards and the challenge of not knowing who you are without the protective facade.
My Mission and Dedication
My mission is to see you as you truly are - an amazing individual with the ability not just to overcome, but to achieve. I know how hard it can be to open up to a stranger, especially if you've felt rejected for expressing your feelings in the past. I'm here to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self.
I'm dedicated to helping you identify and address core issues that have held you back. Together, we'll work on:
Improving your relationship with food and body image
Managing stress and intrusive thoughts that keep you from living fully
Navigating daily life while embracing your unique way of thinking
Gaining clarity and understanding about your neurodivergent traits to empower your personal growth
My approach is tailored to your individual needs, combining evidence-based techniques with genuine compassion and understanding. I'm here to listen, support, and guide you towards the life you desire.
My Commitment to You
I strive to be more than just a therapist. I'll be your ally, your support system, and sometimes, a source of hope when you feel you have none left. Together, we'll work towards taming your inner critic, throwing away the mask, and embracing your true self.
Remember, you're not defined by your struggles. You're strong, you're worthy, and you have the power to create positive change in your life. Let's embark on this journey of self-discovery and growth together.
