About Me

Hey There!

You are a courageous young woman who appears to have everything together, but inside you feel like you are not being your true self.

YOU’RE FEELING LIKE NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY, NOTHING IS GOOD ENOUGH. YOUR BODY AND YOUR MIND HAVE TAKEN THE ULTIMATE TOLL, AND YOU’RE EXHAUSTED.

It has been hard for you to stop the messages you have received from consuming your every day. You find yourself constantly battling the demons in your head that tell you you’re not good enough, you’re not doing life “right”, and your body is not “perfect”

It is a challenge for you, because you feel like you’re just surviving and not living life. Being strong and pretending that everything is okay has gotten you far. But you don't know who you are without that external facade to protect you from feeling like you are being criticized.

You know you deserve to have a kinder relationship with yourself but don't know where to begin. It scares you because the real you feels so far gone that you do not know where to start looking again.

ITS EXHAUSTING TO KEEP WEARING THE MASK.

You no longer want to hide your real self or listen to those whispers of doubt from either the outside world or from within yourself.

I’m here to tell you those messages you have received are not true!  You’re not fat, you’re not dumb, you’re not slow, and being “different” is not a bad thing!

I can help tame your inner critic and throw away the mask. I see the struggle and strength in all my clients. I know you can achieve what you choose, because you no longer hide behind the mask.

Hi! I’m Jennie, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am a member of the International Eating Disorder Association (IAEDP). I am currently working towards becoming a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS).

Mission: I see my clients as they are-amazing individuals with the ability to not only overcome but to achieve. I understand how hard it can be to talk to a stranger about your problems. Perhaps it’s hard for you to be vulnerable, because in the past, you’ve been told “No” or felt rejected for expressing how you feel. I understand how badly you just want to feel like yourself again and how you don’t know what that would even look like.

Passion: I know things can change, because I know the benefits of talking to someone who truly cares and has been there before. The work I do is part of who I am, but it does not define me as a person.

Dedication: I can help you by identifying core issues that have plagued you for far too long. I can help you by listening to you, being a support to you, and giving you the guidance you both want and need. I can help you by letting you borrow some of my hope when you feel like you have none left.

When we work together, we can address:

Eating Disorders counseling is intended to help people who struggle with their relationship with food, do not like who they see when they look in the mirror, and desire to be more content with their bodies. Food does not have to define how they see themselves.

Anxiety Therapy is for those who feel like stress and worry are running their lives. The intruding thoughts are keeping you from living the life you want.

With Learning Disorders, I work with individuals who are diagnosed with a learning disorder either recently or life-long and who are struggling with how to navigate through everyday life, while feeling different.
